A sad victim of the Donington debacle

Just reading through the most recent edition of Motorsport I see that the brilliant Donington museum is shut because of the desperate financial position Simon Gillett’s failed attemp to bring F1 to the circuit.

The muesum hosts a massive collection of F1 cars through the decades and gives fans a chance to get close up to many famous cars from history.

Despite the collection of cars being owned by the Wheatcroft family the land where the cars are exhibited is currently under the lease of Gillett’s failed organisation.

I desperately hope they can find a solution to this sad story, I first visited the collection when I was 10 and was entranced by the wide range on modern and historic cars. It’s is a shame that F1 fans in the U.K. are being deprived one of the sports best perminent collections.
